Just a short time after joining Jess Idol's program, my riding and training experienced profound improvement. With a precise but empathetic approach, Jess was able to pinpoint issues, develop a plan forward and successfully remove mental blocks that had been frustrating me for some time. I am an older amateur nearing 60 with some back issues so not the best athlete.  I work hard though and I ride 4 days a week. What I like most about Jess’ coaching is her positivity and encouragement when I know what I want to do but my body isn’t skilled enough yet to achieve it.  She is firm and pushes me but not through negativity.  I like that when I am riding she is 100% focused on me as if I was an FEI rider.  I like that she doesn’t allow me to give in to quick fixes just to move up.  I am going to be foundationally correct which I need to be to achieve my goals.  Finally but not the least she becomes involved with you as a total person.  We laugh, have fun, trail ride sometimes on Sunday, and remember for me that I am an amateur and I am doing this for fun.  It has been quite a journey!
